What Is a Hair Transplant?

A hair transplant is a minimally invasive procedure performed to restore hair in areas affected by thinning or baldness. Hair follicles that are genetically resistant to shedding are taken from the donor area (usually the back of the head) and implanted into the balding regions. The results are permanent, natural-looking, and customized for each patient.
